Online and Outdoors

Through all we have been through this past year one thing is true - hope is still alive! We are so excited to worship with you this Easter Sunday as we celebrate Jesus Christ, our Living Hope.

'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,' - 1 Peter 1.3

On Campus

• The gathering will be held outdoors on FCC’s playground/basketball court area.

• Bring your own chair/s or picnic blanket

• Bring your own beverages if needed

• We are NOT utilizing RSVPs at this time as we have plenty of outdoor space for all

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS:

We will be following county health guidelines including:

• gathering outdoors

• social distancing

• required masks (for those 2 and older)

• no hugs/handshakes or unnecessary physical contact (when this pandemic is all over, we know some of you who will be hugging EVERYONE you see for months!)

Please remain at home and join us in the online worship gathering if:

• you or someone in your household are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms

• you have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 in the 14 days before the gathering

• You are in a high risk category: we love you and miss you, but we want to remain healthy and safe!

FOR FAMILIES WITH YOUNG KIDS:

This Sunday will be offering a Kids Connection time during our morning outdoor Easter service.

We are inviting children, 4 years-6th grades, to join the CM team in the courtyard for an Easter craft and game following the opening worship set. Here is what you can expect should you wish to participate:

1. We are asking that families pre-register your children so we can prepare for them.

2. Once you pre-register, we will pre-print all check-in nametags for easy and quick access to the event. These will be available to you when you enter the main service outdoors on the playground. (Pre-registration also assists in helping us to prepare for the morning.)

3. Once checked in, the children will join with their families for opening worship.

4. After two songs the children wishing to attend CM Connect will join the CM team and head on over to the Courtyard for crafts and games.

5. We are asking that all kids wear masks.

6. All CM leaders will be wearing masks.

7. We will have hand sanitizer machines at the Children's entrance.

8. We will be asking the children to sit six-feet apart during their time with us. Children in the same family will be able to sit together at the same table.

9. All of the CM Volunteer Team have had at least their first vaccination. The majority are fully vaccinated.

10. At check-in you will be given a pick-up slip which you will give to the CM leader to pick up your child at the end of the service.

11. We will be providing prepackaged snacks for the children at CM Connect.

12. The downstairs bathrooms will be used only for kids in CM Connect on Sunday. Adults will need to use the bathroom by the kitchen or the upstairs bathrooms.

Your children may also still stay with you in the service. We will, like usual, provide them with an activity bag with snacks for their time in the main service.

A NOTE ON MASKS:

To help ensure the only thing we are spreading is love, everyone needs to wear a mask for the duration of their time on the Faith Community Church campus.  This will be an opportunity for us to show our care for one another through the loving act of wearing a mask.

Because singing is considered a high risk activity, the California safety guidelines for singing are to sing outside, with social distancing, and a mask. We know this will feel strange at first - none of us are used to singing with a mask - but its never too late to add a new skill to your resume!
