Barbara Hoffman
My husband Clem and I have been married for 26 years and have two children: Gregory, age 24, and Katie, age 22. We have been part of Faith Community Church for five years.
I previously worked as a court reporter, but made the decision to be a stay-at-home mom when our children were born. I volunteered in many capacities at schools, in sports, for the Girl Scouts, for National Charity League, etc., and have volunteered in various positions at church. I like to read, travel, spend time with friends and family, do crafts, and enjoy good food.
I love the fellowship I experience at Faith Community Church. There is such a love of the Lord here and a depth of spirituality that just blesses me in untold ways. We have enjoyed the various groups we have participated in including Covenant Marriage, Spiritual Healing, and Gospel Adventures, among others. My husband and I have a heart for helping couples grow together, enhance their marriages, and experience the joy that God intended for marriage. We have lead Marriage Adventures, Love & Respect, and 10 Great Dates groups, and I lead a women’s bible study group with Rachel Robertson. We have developed amazing friendships through these groups, received and given comfort through trials in our lives, and felt the presence of our Lord and Savior. One of the aspects of our fellowship that I take great pleasure in is being surrounded by men and women who really walk in their faith and witness to the transforming love and power of our Mighty God. This is my third year serving on the Faith Community Council, and I am excited to see what God has in store for our congregation in the coming year.
