Welcome To Faith Community Christian School, San Diego

Fall 2011 begins our 35th year of pursuing academic excellence as we partner with our families to provide a superior, private Christian elementary school education (our test scores substantiate this) in a faith-based environment. Our school is the Monday-Friday, Kindergarten through 6th grade, expression of a larger commitment our church shares to children and their families. We are excited about the opportunities we have to inspire, educate, encourage, and grow tomorrow's men and women today!

We are jointly accredited by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Accreditation by these well-recognized agencies is a seal of quality on our school and its program. Achieving accreditation denotes that we meet instructional standards of quality and verifies a commitment to strategic improvement and ongoing accountability.

We endeavor to encourage, educate, enrich, and release every child's full potential-- spiritual, academic, social, and physical-- so that each child might shape the future as they bless, influence and lead.

We will work hard to develop the spiritual and academic growth of every child enrolled in our private Christian elementary school so that they might:

• be a part of a small private school and it's community in which every member, student, parent and teacher is invested.

Our Community

We also continue to learn the value of building an extended community made up of the families of our school and congregation. While we are a church-affiliated school, we are non-denominational in spirit. This means, for us, that we are excited to partner with families who participate in churches throughout San Diego. This has been a characteristic of Faith Community School for years and contributes to the rich experience of being an extended family together. The quality of teaching in a small private school is generally better partly because our students know they hold a valued place in a family atmosphere. Students engage closely with strong, accessible adults who model life-long learning. We pride ourselves on the collaborations where parents, pastors, and teachers make decisions and organize ideas about our learning community.
