Vince Medrano, Youth Pastor
I was born in LA county and lived there until 2008 when we moved up to Olympia, WA to work at a non-profit that reached at risk and homeless teens. I love sports and food and think that both are best enjoyed when others are with me. My wife, Lorissa, and I met at Life Pacific College where we both graduated from with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biblical Studies. I came to know Jesus the summer before my senior year in high school and have an extreme passion for Him and His Church.
Lorissa Medrano, Youth Pastor
Grew up in a family of 12 kids, where there was never a dull moment. Has lived in, Wyoming, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington and California (for the fourth time!) Loves learning, the ocean, coffee, books, traveling to new places and coffee! I graduated from Life Pacific College were I met my amazing husband Vince, we were married a year after we both graduated. Nothing makes me more excited than seeing people use the talents and opportunities God has given them to make an impact for Him on this world.
Ken Calvert, Administrative Pastor
Married to Judy... the love of my life. I have 2 grandsons, and no pets! My family roots are in Oklahoma and Arkansas and my parents met on VJ day in Echo Park across the street from Angeles Temple. I've worked a variety of jobs but mostly in the hazardous waste and solid waste industries. I teach periodically at SDSU School of Public Health, and time permitting, consult on waste issues locally. Twenty seven years ago I gave Jesus what I thought was a wasted life. Since then he has rebuilt, restored and blessed my life in ways I could never have imagined.
Liz Groman, Opportunities Pastor
I am so privileged to be part of what God is doing at Faith Community and to have the opportunity to serve as Opprotunities Pastor. I take great joy in releasing, supporting and encouraging the remarkable leaders God has called out of our church to serve ministries and opportunities here at Faith. You will also find me assisting in a Sunday School classroom because I love to see the Lord through the eyes of children. John and I have been married over 40 years and have enjoyed working together in our business as well as in many capacities and ministries within the church. We have a beautiful daughter, a wonderful son-in-law, and three extraordinary grandchildren who love and serve the Lord. I can usually be found at the Welcome Table after the Sunday morning service. I would love to meet you in person. Hugs!
Jim Foreman, Counselor
I'm head over heels in love with joy-filling Jesus. . . married to Debbie for 30 years (she's adorable, a peach, and life with her has seemed like 30 days). I enjoy resting in the Lord, serving saints in their time of healing, sharing deep dives into the Word, all-out worship, far-into-the night talks with friends, writing poetry, exploring the mystery of God's creation, jogging and pumping iron. I grew up an atheist, and one night, at age 33, Jesus saved me through streams of redeeming love. Ph.D. in sociology from Penn State, and licensed marriage and family therapist.
