Church Council Members

Bob is an investment manager who has been active within the body of Faith Community for eleven years. He helped start a business owners men's fellowship that he has participated in for ten years. He has two kids, Madeline and Bobby, and has shared his life with his precious wife Rachel (and fellow Alaskan) for twenty years.

Married to Susan for 29 years, with three adult boys who have all grown up in the Church. Over the past several years I have been involved in a range of Church-related activities; including: Church Council (two prior terms), Faith Community School - Board Member, Faith Community School - Technology Team Leader, Building Project Leadership with my wife Susan, and Group Co-leader (Padres and Monday Night Football). Outside of Church I enjoy travel, Stanford football, and home projects.

I am a retired schoolteacher, and married to Al for 26 years! We have two children… Kristin who graduated from college last year and is teaching high school history and Stephen who is in his second year of university in North Carolina.

I came to Christ at the age of 10. On the peaks and through the valleys – God has always demonstrated his graciousness. I am ever thankful. It has been my pleasure to assist in the on-going remodel plans for this campus. I have also served in our Christmas tree give-away, our Easter and Big Toys outreaches and have “pinch hit” in Children’s Ministry. I frequent the Shakespeare’s Pub Outpost and have enjoyed several classes and home-groups led by Jim Foreman. I am married to an amazing woman - Sharon and have three wonderful and gifted kids – Adam, Isabel and Sam. I love jazz, non-fiction books, films, great restaurants, kayaking and travel. I am excited about what God is doing at Faith and eager to see how he might use me in new and surprising ways.

Grew up in Oregon where I met my wife Gay in college. We have 2 children (Kendra and Peter) and have attended Faith Community Church for many years. My education and career have centered around software - currently I am working as a full-time, freelance software developer. I am currently a FlieGroup. As a family we are active in our church life here at FCC. I love to go biking, hiking, fishing, cooking and doing pretty much anything (almost) with my kids – they're really fun!

My husband Greg and I moved our family to San Diego 15 years ago and have been connected to the people at Faith ever since. We appreciate so many things about this church - how we learn and worship together, how we intentionally reach out to people in our community and around the world. Our boys have grown up in the care of great leaders! We are grateful for the opportunities we have had to serve at Faith - I'm currently assisting with campus improvements, Worship Team, and Seasons of Praise Chorale.

FCC seeks to follow Jesus well as we serve and love our city through pastoral ministries and by providing the oppotunity for excellent and affordable private Christian education through Faith Community Christian School. We are excited to introduce the staff team that is committed to serving you.
