Our friends at World Relief have reached out with an urgent need for diapers and wipes for the Haitian community they serve in San Diego. Bring your donations to church on Sundays now through Mother’s Day. While all-sized diapers are welcome, larger sizes are much needed.

Did you know that Jewish Family Services runs a Safe Parking Program here in the church’s neighborhood? Every night, they provide safety, security, and support for unsheltered San Diegans living out of their vehicles, many of whom are experiencing homelessness for the first time.
We have a hands-on opportunity to make a tangible difference by providing, and serving, a warm meal to the guests at the Mission Village Drive location. Email Pastor Lorissa if you are interested in joining the serving team.

Each year, San Diego Refugee Tutoring hosts a “Bike Day” for students and their families. We grill out, connect with families, and play with kids as many of them learn to ride bikes for the first time! SDRT and Hope For San Diego need your help to prepare and serve lunch. Made for This Sports + Art Camp where kids discover passion and purpose in arts and sports as they hear about the God who made them! Each night kids will enjoy a light dinner, learn a sport, and try out a new art skill. This exciting 3-day camp will be followed up with a bonus family night on Thursday, with games, food, and parent v kids scrimmages. This camp is designed for kids entering K-6th grade.

Faith Youth will be having our first-ever Laser Tag Tournament! Competitors will be participating in three unique laser tag battles (Capture the Flag, Fortnite Battle Royale, and Board the Ship) for a chance to win the title of Laser Tag Champion! We would love for you to come show your skills! Food and drinks will be provided.

Hop into spring with our annual Serra Mesa Community Easter Egg Hunt! Join us for an egg-citing day filled with fun, games, and of course, 8,000 eggs. This is a free event open to the whole community, so bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a day of egg-hunting fun.
In addition to the egg hunt, we will have a range of activities for children of all ages. We will have bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, a train, and fun games for the young and young at heart. There will also be a free picnic lunch.

In this space adventure, our astronauts will have an hour to complete several challenges and solve clues left behind by their lieutenant in order to escape the impending alien attack upon the US Space Shuttle. And since loving others and loving God cannot be separated, each person will also grow in their personal, first-hand relationship with Jesus by incorporating stillness, silence, and Scripture as daily life rhythms. The EHR Course will run during our Winter Table Groups and includes a community dinner from 6:15-6:40. Childcare available for 4yrs and up.
We are so excited to announce that Faith Youth is heading to Winter Camp at Camp Cedar Crest on Friday, January 26th to Sunday, January 28th. Registration and payment is due on Sunday, December 10th. The cost of camp is $150. For students grade 6-12.

Carefully selected by our affiliates, Hope for San Diego’s effort is directed to those who are in crisis or most in need this Christmas. Whether they’ve experienced a medical emergency, a housing crisis, or a lost job during the year, many of our neighbors can’t afford a Christmas celebration for their households.
